What was the highlight of Hotel GEM Wellness
Great
The location is great. 3-5 minutes walk to Fenals beach and about 10-12 to Lloret Beach and city center. The view from the balcony was amazing. Fresh and clean towels everyday and cleaning the room. We didn't use the pool, but it seemed clean and great.
We were double taxed for the city tax. But it was my mistake because I didn't realise until now. Once one booking, once when we checked in. The breakfast was poor and the same every single day.

What was the highlight of Hotel GEM Wellness
It would be kind to call it outdated, old and tired is more fair.
The beds were comfortable and the cleaners do their best. The reception staff were friendly and sent someone to fix the leak in the bathroom straight away, and they did provide two modern fans.
The breakfast is served in a basement room. The decoration and furniture in the living room/bedroom/kitchen and bathroom hadn't been updated since the 80's, apart from one chair. There were some horrible black marks on the bathroom wall. Our living room faced a street but we could still hear the loud music played in the hotel complex all night till about 1.00pm. We were in the smallest and 4th block of the hotel complex, the other buildings were much bigger and seemed more modern. The room safe didn't even have a lock so we couldn't use it. The breakfast choices were poor and as I was english I was ignored by the wait staff and not even offered coffee on the second morning.

nothing to mention what was good. It was mistake to choose this place.
All hotel is awful - old, without conditioning, noisy, impossible to sleep during the night. Sutable for low budget students. Too good fotos to be true, you will be surprised when you see reality. Dinner is limited by 2 item choice for each course. No beverage included. Breakfast is “limited” buffet - the only choice was boiled eggs.

What was the highlight of Hotel GEM Wellness
The location was good.
The location was good. Halfway between both main beaches.
When I booked this place I was given the impression it was a pleasant relaxing Spa hotel. The reality was a huge sprawl of different hotels all awkwardly joined together giving a messy holiday camp feel. The complex is surrounded by a fence/wall with an entrance/exit at either corner. It was full of groups of teenagers. The breakfast was poor. Cheap processed bacon, the juices and tea were horrible. There was no air con, just a cheap fan. The apartment was very tired and dated. Luckily we only stayed for one night. Some people may love complexes like this and it may be great for young families and groups of teenagers but they should be honest and present it as it is... a huge all inclusive style complex.
